Over the last five years, CDG Builders, Inc. has worked tirelessly to provide “Service to Others.” Founder, Greg Horvath and Partner, Chris DeFazio, along with their passion for quality and 30 years shared experience in the industry, have created a niche within their trade, pursuing excellence and thriving on providing incomparable service to clients.
Principal and founder, Greg Horvath, a graduate of North Carolina State University, began his career by jumping immediately from obtaining a degree in Construction Engineering to working with Fluor, a worldwide power industry construction leader. From construction management to project engineering, Greg continued to enhance his construction IQ. In 2005, as a Project Engineer, he would unite with fellow Project Manager, Chris DeFazio, at Rudolph and Sletten.
With a family history rooted in the construction industry, Chris DeFazio, Principal at CDG Builders, began his career as a jack of all trades, building retail stores alongside his uncle. With field experience now under his belt, Chris was given the opportunity to become an Office Manager for PMC, a small concrete construction company. While at PMC, Chris was introduced to the inner-workings of construction management. Armed with his field and managerial experience, he would leave PMC to become a Field Supervisor for Rudolph and Sletten in 2000. From here, Chris’s career path accelerated, being promoted to Sr. Project Engineer in 2002 followed by a promotion to Project Manager in 2004.
In 2005, while working together in the Special Projects division for Rudolph and Sletten, Greg and Chris formed a friendship of trust and respect, bonding over similar principles and values. The two achieved much success in their division, overseeing a wide array of project types and delivery methods. (continued.)
